I have installed a wireless G base station and notebook
adapter (MN-820 Kit). I have a desktop with Windows XP connected to the base station with an ethernet cable. I have a notebook with Millenium connected via the wireless adapter. Both the desktop and the Notebook can access the internet and log in to the Base Station. They are both assigned to the same workgroup and the firewall is not enabled on the XP system. File and Printer sharing are enabled on both. I can not share files or printers between the systems. In the Broadband Network Utility I can see the other system under Network Devices. However, it only shows an IP address, not the computer name. When I double click I get the message "No information available for device". The same thing happens on the desktop and the notebook. Any ideas? Thanks EA |

I wish someone had an answer. My situation is idential.
The Broadband Network Utility does not list my Laptop under "Networked Devices" nor does the laptop see the desktop - yet both access the Internet just fine. I can neither share files or printers - all shared and the group name is identical - firewall disabled. PLEASE HELP - this is a very common question! Ditto this same problem. My only difference is that I
have two desktops, one wireless one not and both XP Home. Otherwise symtoms are identical. I see no solutions here either. Hello!! Is there anybody at MS looking? >-----Original Message----- >I have installed a wireless G base station and notebook >adapter (MN-820 Kit).
