I recently install a MN base station and connected my Dell
desktop (XP Home)via ethernet cable. I installed a network wireless card in my HP laptop (XP Pro)and set a network workgroup named MSHOME. Sharing is enabled on both computers. The Dell can see and access the shared items on the laptop. The laptop cannot find the Dell (Search of people or computers)and cannot access any files or printer on the Dell. Each computer can ping the other and the gateway and when I use the Broadband Network Utility on the laptop the Dell is listed under other devices. If I double click on the Dell nothing happens. DO you have a firewall enabled on the Dell computer (I
beleive they can preinstalled with one). You may need to adjust it to enable other computers to access it. >-----Original Message----- >I recently install a MN base station and connected my Dell >desktop (XP Home)via ethernet cable.
