Hi,
I installed my MN700 base station, I have the base station connected to two pcs and they both see each other and so on. I connect to the Internet using a DSL Modem, and using a PPoe login, and DHCP is disabled because I have static IP addresses on both pcs; however, once the WAN IP address is dynamically changed by the ISP, my internet acces is lost (this takes about 6 hours). Then I have to shut the Base Station and turn it on, and everything comes back to normal. I have setup the WAN to autoconnect, but it doesn't seem to work. Does anyone knows what is causing this? Thank you Jose Rivera |

This seems to be a common problem. Hopefully Microsoft
can see this from all of the posts in here and correct the problem VERY QUICKLY. ie.) Before I return mine for a refund! >-----Original Message----- >Hi, > >I installed my MN700 base station, I have the base >station connected to two pcs and they both see each other > and so on. You are right about that, I had a linksys wireless before
and I never had to reset it. I thought Microsoft with the billions that have will come up with a better product. Anyways, now I probably won't get to support, because I spoke the truth. >-----Original Message----- >This seems to be a common problem. Calling support does not help. They simmply refuse to
accept the fact that this product has issues. However, they will tell you it must be a problem with your hardware or software. Finda funny to be honest. But hey his is what we get for buying a product based on windows CE. I have to reboot my CE based handheld so why not my router. >-----Original Message----- >You are right about that, I had a linksys wireless before >and I never had to reset it. What SR# did support give you and what problem did you specifically report
to them? (E-Mail Removed) wrote: > Calling support does not help. I too was having droped/missing internet connection problems.
I spent 1 hour the other day trying to explain this to a support person in India? Most of this time I was on hold because all the support person was doing was following a script and couldnt handle any variations from it. If he spoke better English we would have gotten futher. But back to the answere. I had the MS broadband Utility installed on both my laptop and my main computer. I hardly ever turn my main computer on since buying my laptop. I uninstalled the MS broadband utility from my laptop and havent had to reset the MN700 in two days This is with stillkeeping the main computer off. Hopefully this has solved my droped/missing internet connection problem Ive beed dealing with since January 4th !
