I have been told by my Centurytel dsl provider that they
are blocking "ports" to prevent a spread of viruses. They say that this may make it difficult to connect to certain internet sites including Microsoft Update. It does! Is there any way to control the "ports" with the MN-700 base station management tool. Does the MN 700 block any ports by default or is there any way to accidently block the "ports" with MN700 if you don't know what you are doing? thank you very much tk25 tk25 |

If the ISP is blocking the ports, you're not going to be able to override
those settings. You should really speak to their support section, and elevate the issue. As far as the MN-700 is concerned, unless you go into the Base Station Management Tool and add a whole lot of things, you won't mess it up. The built-in firewall will take care of your computers. -- Chris H.
