I have a MN-700 and setup everything right. I could even
access the Internet, but after about 3 minutes, the cable modem stops receving information from the internet. If I enter the MN-700 setup, WAN settings, and simple apply to the same settings, I can access the internet again normally, but just for 3 minutes, then I have to repeat the procedure. Does any one has even a clue about what is happening? Alexandrino Fernandes |

Is this loss of connection on your wired connection to the base station? If
so, it sounds like your settings aren't correct to address your Internet Service Provider's authentication process. Make sure you've correctly identified whether you get a static or dynamic IP from the ISP and that you're using the proper technique for authentication with the ISP (is the service PPPoE or straight TCP/IP?). If those are all correct in the base station, you may contact your ISP to verify them again. -- Chris H. Another point that I forgot to mention is that if I
connect my computer direct to the cable modem, everything work fine, without interruptions. What could be happening from time to time that cause my cable modem stop receving information from the internet? >-----Original Message----- >Is this loss of connection on your wired connection to the base station? As the last response said.
Check your configuration in your router or start from scratch. Also, you may want to clear the cache in the router and the pc. To clear the cache in the router, turn it off disconnect the cables and leave it for about 10 to 30 minutes, also turn your PC off. After that, turn your DSL modem, and connect all the cables back again, and turn your PC on. Start the setup wizard in the base station and follow the instructions. Make sure that you follow the instructions, this Base Station is so meticulous about following steps. Jose J. What kind of cache in the router are you talking about? Why do you think it
is necessary to leave it off for 10-30 minutes? What kind of cache on the PC are you talking about? You can empty the browser cache and flushdns. Or your problem could be much simpler. Read the posts
here many of us have random lockups of the MN700. It is not your hardware. It is not your software. It is not your OS. It is a problem with the router. You can call support and get the run around. Our you can do what many have done and return the router and get the linksys version. >-----Original Message----- >What kind of cache in the router are you talking about?
