OK, I know this is giong to seem like a pretty simple or
retarded question, but I have a workgroup that consists of three computers. One is running WIN XP Home Edition, the second WIN ME, and the third WIN2K Pro. The problem I have is that the WIN2K Pro machine doesn't see the other computers in the workgroup. I have checked that all the adapters are the same and that all the comuters have the same workgroup name. What am I doing wrong or frogetting to check? The other two machines work just fine together. Are you using the Base Station as the router? Is there
any of those pcs wireless? Ensure that the gateway (the router's IP Address) on all three computers are the same, and if you have DHCP enabled that all pcs are getting one from the router. Another thing, try to flush the DNS all the Win2k Pro, then register the DNS and restart the pc. Try again. Most of the time the pc is trying to reach an host that doesn't exist any longer.
