Having problems logging into to the MN-700 base station
on one of my computers. I can access it via the http:\\192.168.2.1 via one computer on our network, but not the other. I used to have a SMC router, but changed it for the new Microsoft. I uninstalled the old router software, but for some reason it is not letting me access the MN-700. I tried logging back in to the old router and then timing myself out as the administrator, and that worked once, but not again. I tried uninstalling the MS software and reinstalling it again, but now it will not let me upgrade to the latest version (says my download is corrupted). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Rich Rich W |

Is your "other" (for lack of a better identifier for the computer that isn't
connecting to the router) on the same network as the router (i.e. is it getting an ip from the MN700)? -- Jason Tsang - Microsoft MVP Find out about the MS MVP Program - http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/default.aspx "Rich W" <(E-Mail Removed)> wrote in message news:567001c3e54b$e2e59330$(E-Mail Removed)... > Having problems logging into to the MN-700 base station > on one of my computers. Adding to Jason, the MS routers use by default the
192.168.2.x subnet, while most other brands use 192.168.1.x -- If you have a reference on the computer to that ...1.x subnet that would prevent you from getting access to the router (maybe a gateway or static IP). Run the Command Prompt and enter ipconfig You may need to change settings under Network Settings for the "other" computer. The alternative is to go to the router and change it to use a 192.168.1.x subnet and then on the computer that is working fine. >-----Original Message----- >Is your "other" (for lack of a better identifier for the computer that isn't >connecting to the router) on the same network as the router (i.e. is it >getting an ip from the MN700)? > > >-- >Jason Tsang - Microsoft MVP > >Find out about the MS MVP Program - >http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/default.aspx > >"Rich W" <(E-Mail Removed)> wrote in message >news:567001c3e54b$e2e59330$(E-Mail Removed)... >> Having problems logging into to the MN-700 base station >> on one of my computers.
