MN-730 - damn light keeps blinking...

Hi,
I set up an MN-700 via an XP system and as far as I know
it's set up correctly. The XP system is hard-wired.
I installed an MN-730 in a Win 98 system and the light
keeps flashing. The PC is about 2 ft away from the MN-700.
Any suggestions? Thanks.
