I just bought a MN-700,I connected up a desktop with a x-
box adapter, and i've also got a Sony Vaio with a built
in wireless adapter.

I've connected everything up and it works fine, the
laptop and the x-box connect to the internet. However,
when I go into the Broadband Network Utility from my
Desktop it only sees the x-box and not the laptop.

When I try to share files from the laptop and desktop it
says denied access, can anyone help me get the broadband
utility to see my laptop so i can share files?

Thanks,

Mark

First, Mark, check to make sure you laptop is on the same Workgroup as your
LAN. If it isn't, there's nothing you can "make" the BNU do to see it. If
it is a Windows XP system, right-click My Computer, select Properties and
then go to the Computer Name tab. In the center, you'll see the Workgroup:
listing. If it doesn't match your other computers, click the Change button.
You'll see where to change it there.

Sorry for the continuation:

If they're correctly on the same Workgroup, are you running any type of
firewall on the laptop? Even ZoneAlarm or something like that will block
other computers from accessing the laptop.

The MN-700 has a built-in firewall, which you can enhance in the Base
Station Management Tool/Security/Firewall by making sure there's a check
mark in the box next to Block ICMP Commands.
