I would like to install the MN-720 Wireless Notebook
Adapter driver WITHOUT installing the Microsoft Broadband
Network Utility. Is this possible? How? Will this create
any problems or limitations in the future?

I'm running Windows XP Home if it matters.

Yes, you can do this.
Insert the CD and hold down the shift key to keep it from autorunning.
Insert the card and let XP find and install the drivers.
Then use Windows XPs native wireless zero configuration to specify the SSID
and WPA or WEP.
