I let Microsoft Update my Broadband Network Utility a couple of months ago. Apparently the update failed. Ever since, every time I start my compputer, it tries to install the Network Broad Band Utility. I get a message that I have to install the CD to finish the installation. When I cancel the install, my comnputer works fine and my network, 2 PCs and 2 sharede printers, works OK but I can't start the braodband network utility from my computer's menu. When I try to re-run the upgrade program, it says I've already upgraded. Hoe do I get the upgrade installed? I'm running Windows XP, home edition. |

The updated firmware is only for the MN-100, not the software front end. You would need to use the original CD to install that. It is not necessary to have it installed, however, and you might see if you can remove it in Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs. You can also removed it from the Startup function in Windows XP by going to Start/All Programs/Startup and right-clicking the entry, choosing Delete. This does not uninstall the program, only takes it out of the startup folder. -- Chris H.
