No Chris, Verizon has me set up for a dynamic IP with no password or login. I have tried cloning the MAC address with no luck. I seems to be an issue only when starting the computer after being turned off for a period of time. Microsoft tech support had me re-cycle the modem and base station which works, but if I have to do that every morning that I turn on my computer I'll be takin it back to the store for a Netgear. >-----Original Message----- >Are you using PPPoE, using any Verizon software, do you have the proper >setting (dynamic or static) for your IP, and have you placed the proper >Verizon gateway in the WAN (not the LAN settings)? Let me understand something a bit further, Steve. Are you turning off or unplugging your modem and router each night? If that's the case, why? DSL is supposed to be "always on" and it wouldn't matter if no computers are connected. -- Chris H.
