>Ivor That just tells me I have a 1 meg connection but is there somewhere that could test to find my maximum connection speed. Tried Wanadoo site but that says my BT line can only run a 512kb connection. Next door have a 2 meg connection with Wanadoo so you'd think they would know...wouldn't you! Noman |

Follow the link below, enter your attenuation and SNR data and you will be given an estimate of the likely speed you will see. http://www.dslzoneuk.net/maxspeed.php The BT checker that a number of ISP access is vague at the best of time; for years it said I could only get a 1Mb connection but all the time I had had a 2Mb connection.
