Is there a way to stop thunderbird resetting the nntp password/username
(then requesting these to be re entered), when the number of allowed connections is exceeded on Giganews via pipex? Let me Think |

I think this is a bug - if my IMAP email server goes down I get the same problem, where Thunderbird seems to automatically assume that the problem is of authentication rather than a server related issue. The only way to resolve it is probably to check the bugzilla and make sure they're fixing it in v1.5. -- Phil http://www.usefilm.com/photographer/31307.html |

I didn't find a way. I've ended up paying the extra £2 a month for a better connection to Giganews. This has brought instances of this happening right down, it'll only show it's face now if I click through groups/articles very quickly. |
