Default Broadband problems

Hi, I'm having some issues with my broadband. I'm with Virgin, 512kbps
line and a speedtouch 330 modem. I play a lot of on-line poker and
pool etc and I keep getting timed-out now - this is costing me money!!

Web pages (can) take an eternity to load.

But it's quite strange - the connections seems fine at the start and
then gets worse.

I've disabled my firewall - made no difference. Physical connections
are ok, and i'm using the microfilters.

Anybody any ideas? Whos fault is it...Virgin's, the Line, or my pc?

Thanks, V.
