Default Plusnet

Yesterday my connection with Plusnet Broadband Plus was totally useless, the
modem not staying in sync and when it did not being able to connect. So
whose fault is that ?? B.T and my house wiring , or Plusnet whose service
status was indicated as O.K . I did not contact help as they would say it
was my line , so waited until this morning and it is fine, I have a
sneaking feeling the fault may lay with Plusnet. Is this the norm with
broadband plus Regards E

Yep,

me too. I had drop out Monday night around 11 pm, wouldn't re-sync.
Gave up and tried in the morning.

Dropped out Last Night around 10:15. Wouldn't re-sync again, Switched
off and re-connected 30 mins later.

I've had a lot of disconnects since I joined Plusnet back in June, now
trying to see if there is a pattern or reason before I contact them. I
had been with Wanadoo for 3 yrs, service never really a problem only
had to reboot every few days as the download speed was dropping.

There where a lot of storms around last night even causing complete power
failures. A few trips are to be expected on a connection that relies on many
networked connections

I am also experiencing the same problem for last 2-3 days. constant dropping

policy.

A few days ago I discovered that my router was only connected at 512 Kb/sec
rather than 2Mb/sec. I raised a call with PlusNet (Force 9, actually) and
the problem was fixed within a few hours. It turned out to be a faulty card
in my local exchange - presumably BT's fault. So don't assume that all
faults are with the ISP.

Looking at my router's log over the three months I've had it, I've noticed
on about 10 occasions that the LCP has dropped and then been re-established
and CHAP authenticated (sometimes not for an hour or so) around 4-6 AM. I'm
not sure whether this is BT or PlusNet having problems. I've never had a
problem with connection during "waking hours".

Getting reconnected to BT this month and switching to ADSL because I am
sick of my NTL cable modem losing the connection.

It is an intermittent problem. I took a whole day off work for the
pleasure of watching the NTL engineer shrug his shoulders because the
connection was working when he arrived.

Fully 20 minutes after he left it had dropped again. It took me a
further 10 minutes to arrange a date for BT to reconnect my line.
