Default UK Online problems

In late July I moved house, the 30th to be precise. At the time I was
happily using the UK Online 2meg service on a LLU exchange. On the 24th I
rang them to tell them I was moving, and find out about changing my service
to the new adress, I had already rung BT who'd given me the new phone number
straight away, and it was activated the next day. UK Online said it would
cost £75 to move it, which I was a bit suprised at, but didn't see I had
much choice. I asked how long it would take, not expecting it to be done on
a Saturday, she said it would be a few days either side, which I was happy
with.
When I moved I had some major computer probeblems (which involed smoke
coming out of it!), so I was without a computer for a few days, well, nearer
a week. When I finally got it back running I expected the service to be
there, but, no. Rang them, they told me the 15th, I wasn't happy, but said
ok. The 15th came, and went, on the 16th I was told that the 15th was not
when my new one was coming on, but when my old one was going off!!! It'd
taken them 2 weeks just to disconect my old line, they told me the 30th, so
I did a lot of shouting, and got the £75 back. Now it's the 31st, and they
say they never said it WOULD come on, on the 30th, but that was estimated.
Currently awaiting phone call back with more info, but still no DSL.

A bit more information, I haven't moved far, and not even changed phone
exchange. It's also not like I am in a remote rural area, I'm in West
London, this should not be a challange for them!!

Moral of the story, if you plan to move house, do not pick UK Online.

Follow up, I've now been told that my order 'timed out', so is going to take
ANOTHER 2 weeks!!
This is beginning to take the piss now, so I'm going to make an official
complaint to Ofcom about them. If anyone else has had any problems with UK
Online, please join me in making a complaint, maybe we can get something
done!!
