Default mapping network drive

When I map a network drive with the XP Pro, no problem.
When I try mapping with the 98, big problems. It says system
ID not defined or blank. If TM.INI file exists, it must include an
entry for system ID. Please make sure the following path is
valid: It gives the path, and it is valid. When I try to map the
network drive //dell/c/tmwin/tmwin/programs, that is listed fine
for the xp. When I try to list it that way on the 98, it will only
go //dell/c
Please help

Default Re: mapping network drive

That's the way Win9x works. There is no help. Win 98 will only go to
\\ComputerName\ShareName. Mapping to
\\ComputerName\ShareName\OtherDir\OtherDir is something new to Windows XP.
Try mapping to \\ComputerName\ShareName and then create a short cut to
\\ComputerName\ShareName\OtherDir\OtherDir
