TCP/IP Issues

I have an installed NIC card (3com fast etherlink to be
exact). The Device Manager lists it and it works, however
all I can pull up in the winipcfg is the PPP adapter for
the modem. winipcfg does not recognize the NIC card. I
get data through it from the DSL modem, but I cannot
install a router in line between them. Help
