Crashed my Win98 trying to net w/XP

Crossed over my WIN98 and XP machines, while setting-up
network on XP I was directed to make a disk to install on
the WIN98 machine. After i installed it (netsetup, I
believe)I get error "Mircosoft Workgroups ODI/NDIS3
Mapper Version 2.0 ERROR: Cannot find LSL, ODI/NDIS3
Mapper: Initialization Failure" After I hit any key to
continue it gets to a solid blue screen and stops.
Ctl, Alt Del shows no programs running - What could I
have done???
