When I turn on Windows 98, the dialog box requesting my
user name and password does not appear automatically. so I have to "log off" and restart the computer to be connected to my network. How can I get the box to appear automatically, as it does on my other home computers? The network is just four home computers connected by a LinkSys router. Thanks for any help I can get on this. byrd |

Using REGEDIT, open up the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\ Network\Real Mode Net and delete the value named "AutoLogon" if it exists. Reboot the system and that should do it. -- Richard G.
