Hello,
I have a Windows 2000 network, but many of the workstations are still using Windows 98. I have the user directories map in the login script at \\server\users\homefolder. The Windows 98 clients can't map more than one folder deep (i.e. \\server\foldername) All other drives are mapped except the homefolder. I have heard that if I upgrade the vredir.vxd file on the W98 machines, this would be possible, but I can't see to find an updated version of the file. I am currently using vredir.vxd, dated 4/23/99 and version 4.10.2222. Does anyone know where I can get an updated version of the file? Thanks marie Marie |

Win98 does not support mapping to a folder on a share.
Hence net use x: \\YourServer\YourShare works OK, but net use x: \\YourServer\YourShare\SomeFolder is not OK. I heard that there was an upgrade to the vredir.vxd file
that would allow me to do this. How are others mapping drives for users? They create one share for each folder they wish to share.
