Hi.
Well I have played about with various plugging arrangements. Following reading in the Philips HfC171 manual, it talks about this unit being the first item onto the line. This is was prior to broadband followed by a couple of phones. Following broadband and its filters (3) this was probably not as it saw itself. I have placed one filter into BT's socket run an american type plugged lead to the broadband modem, then plugged the fax/phone into the filter. The plug of the fax/phone has a skt on it to which I have plugged a tripple adaptor and run leads from this to my 2 phones. Computer works ok, phones work and incoming calls ringing problem seems to be cured. Question is ok to only use one filter for all 3 phones? Am I liable to damage anything? Volume is down slightly, but I think it was the same when I used all 3 filters. -- Regards, David <>< Please reply to News Group. David |
