Default Moving phone point

OK, a simple one for all you clever ppl. I want to move my PC downstairs to
a room that at the minute has no phone point. Is it simply a case of having
a new phone extension socket installed and sticking a miro-filter on it to
maintain my broadband connection?

More or less. More importantly, you need microfilters in all *other* sockets
which analog equipment (phones, faxes etc.) plugged into them.
