October. My October bill says 300K but the website is now saying December. Sob, sob!! -- Jock Mackirdy Bedford Jock Mackirdy |

For the GBP17.99 you're paying per month for 150/64 ntl: service (which will, in time, become 300/64), you could have 256/256 ADSL service with Zen when next month's Zen price cuts come into effect. Indeed, there's 512/256 ADSL deals to be had for the same sort of money. Of course, you would need a BT phone line, but I had one of those anyway (you can usually pay less for your phone calls with a BT line than you can with an ntl: phone line). I recently moved away from ntl:'s cable modem service, and don't regret doing so. Web browsing, in particular, is much more responsive on Zen ADSL - possibly because of the lack of "transparent" proxies. David -- David Wood (E-Mail Removed) |

My modem has been rebooted twice in the last 2 days (electrical work elsewhere in the house). I haven't noticed any change. -- Jock Mackirdy Bedford |
