Default Auto Disconnect

I am still having problems with dropping connections but it is only when it
is idle .....

I have not as yet altered any filters as I have been tinkering with settings
......

I am sure it is something to do with Auto Disconnect .....

I have been everywhere I can think of to try and stop this but it seems that
in spite of having the connection tab set to NEVER disconnect - after 30
minutes if it is idle - the Auto Disconnect takes over ...... and goes into
like a countdown mode ....... obviously if I am here - I stop it - and stay
connected ........ but if I'm away I dont see it so it disconnects.

Is there anything I can do that I havent done ?? Where am I going wrong ??

Any ideas please ??

Try getting something to routinely ping a server. Sam Spade for
Windows includes a utility called "keepalive" which does this, I'm
sure there are lots of others. In which case your connection isn't
idle.
