Not sure if this is a problem, or if I have done something wrong setting it up
or if its normal. Received this router from BTY yesterday so duly set it up. The usb lights up fine. The power on the router light is fine. But the lan light (@ sign which shows when connected to phoneline) is supposed to be flashing green/yellow when the line is not activated. But there is no light on at all. I have put the filter into the wall socket with the adsl in the adsl slot and the phones in a triple socket on the phone slot. I was told this setup with the filter would be fine. The installation was flawless and no errors, usb installed fine and it was a doddle. So I am not sure what is up. Unless the manual is wrong and when the exchange is not ready you really do get no light at all. So if anyone has any experience with this router, can you tell me if you had the same thing with the light not coming on please? thanks. Beck |

Flashing amber indicates that DSL line is present and synchronisation is pending. This is followed by solid amber which indicates DSL synch is achieved but it only flashes between green and amber when the connection is pending. This is the last combination in the sequence prior to solid green when end to end connection is achieved. Hope this helps. Stephen |

Thanks Stephen, the manual seemed to say to the contrary, I probably misread it. At least I know what to expect now, ta. |
