Default Email with Pipex?

Just started broadband with Pipex so I need use of the e-mail services as my
ntl account will end soon. Only trouble is I've been wandering around their
site trying to find how to either activate my e-mail or get my e-mail but
I'm at a loss to find out where to go.

I've managed to set up pipex account in outlook express but it won't log on.
I get this error "Unable to logon to the server using Secure Password
Authentication. Account: 'pop.dsl.pipex.com', Server: 'pop.dsl.pipex.com',
Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR Mate, the command must be one of
CAPA, USER, PASS or QUIT', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error:
0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC18"

What do I do?

In Outlook or Outlook Express, go to Tools->Accounts and select the 'Mail'
tab. Then click on the entry for the pipex account and hit 'properties'. On
the 'servers' tab, make sure that the box marked 'log on using secure
password authentication' is unchecked. Save and try checking mail again.

If the above still doesn't solve the problem, then repeat the process and
ensure your other settings on the 'general' and 'servers' tab for the
account are accurate. You can definitely find those settings in the help
area of the pipex site if you log in.
