network connection taskbar icon

How do show the network connection icon in the taskbar,
like in win2k or XP, it's just a checkbox and it will
display the connection status in the taskbar. How do I do
this with win98

Win98 does not offer this feature, though you may be able to find something
similar by searching google.com or download.com for one.
