Mention my username 'imshepherd' if signing onto Plusnet. I migrated from OneTel to Plusnet with only 10 minutes downtime. I just asked Onetel for the CBUK and they provided it no question. |

Remember though that the CBUK number on it's own is only one requirement for a migration. The 'losing' ISP must authorise the migration request once it has been made via the new ISP. That can be the troublesome part sometimes... I must say however that since I migrated, I have been very happy with their service and support. Certainly their staff seem to know what they're talking about far more than OneTel - and the other ISP I deal with BT - who are hopeless !!! Good luck ! |

Almost everything about PlusNet IMHO is a breath of fresh air, compared the the old dinosaur ISP's, where it seems change, innovation and flexabilty are frowned upon. They deserve to be very sucessul. I really hope they keep these qualities as they continue to grow. |

I then wrote to say I wanted to close my ADSL account and could I have the CBUK number. I heard nothing for 3 weeks and then one morning I found that the account no longer worked. After many phone calls including some to India they admitted that the account had been terminated and said if I wanted it back I would have to sign up with them again and pay the connection fee. It also took them 4 weeks to tell BT to remove the ADSL and because of that it was 5 weeks before Zen could open my new account. After a 14 months on Tiscali broadband I cannot once say that I was ever impressed with the service (connection OK but service rubbish) Ken Sweet memory, wafted by thy gentle gale, Oft up the stream of time I turn my sail. |
