Dear all
I have recently purchased a netgear dg834. When running the sygate scan on my self i am finding it reports a lot of ports report as "closed" and not "blocked". I known the dg834 is blocking these requests, but really it should not even be responding in any way. Any one else found this ? The scanner can be found at the following address: http://scan.sygate.com/quickscan.html Andrew PS Sorry if you see multiple copies of this email, posting did not appear to have worked. Andrew |

I use ShieldsUp at www.grc.com to test my ports. Before i installed my Netgear DG834G I had 'Stealth' (i.e. not detectable) on all my ports. Since the install, some of my ports now show 'closed'. I'd like to know if they can be made 'stealth' again...... Filthy Rich Music House |
