This can be handy to track who gives out your email address. Are any plusnet newsgroups available to outside users, like demons are? Hi Ian, We don't propagate our Newsgroups externally, however you can view them via our Web Interface at http://portal.plus.net/central.html?action=newusenet using the username and password of "guest" and "guest". Our web based discussion forums are also available from the portal and can be viewed using the same method. With regard to email setup, the support page at http://tinyurl.com/nbol explains everything, but in short you can use multiple email addresses in just the way you have suggested without having to configure each one. This is very useful for tracking who is using your email address and is a technique practised by many of our users, with some occasionally interesting results! I am considering signing up now, and getting referals from other people I know looking for IPS's. The only thing stopping me is that it's still a couple of months away, and what may be the best deal today, may not be the best deal tommorow. If I register with plusnet, obviously the do not start charging until my exchange goes live, but suposing that they drop the prices, or change their services somehow, will be be "locked" onto what I signed up for, even thou it has technically not started.... -- "Life is what happens while you're making other plans." --John Lennon |

It's a grandfathered account, created back when they were free, and you could have one-word i.ams. Actually, it may just be they finally turned it off for non-payment. Last time I paid I had to hack the HTML of the form to get it to accept one word entries. I think that must be a couple of years ago now at least. Oddly, I'm still getting email through the reflector, looking at the list for today, offers of penis enlargment, breast enlargment, viagra, high heels, and Glucosamine. I really don't want to think about who'd need them all. -- http://inquisitor.i.am/ | private.php?do=newpm&u= | Ian Stirling. ---------------------------+-------------------------+-------------------------- "An enemy will usually have three courses open to him.
