Default adapter install

I am trying to install an adapter and get the message
insert Win98 se cd rom...which I can no longer
locate....is there anyway to install an adapter without
the cd rom for Win 98???? I bought the computer new, and
I don't think it came with it!!

Default Re: adapter install

Search your hard drive for several dozen files ending in the letters CAB.
If you find them, these are your Windows Setup files and you can tell the
installer to look there for your "missing" files.

Default adapter install

You can try searching the web for the individual files
then download them if available. I have successfully done
this when even with the cd the file being searched for was
missing.
