Bob,
I think your attitude is wrong. I recently raised an OT in one of these
groups and eventually got what I was after, even when seemingly more
appropriate groups failed.
What is your problem. I sincerely hope that most reasonable people accept
that there are occasions when this can be invoked.
Incidentally, I have had numerous replies to this on other groups, although
the problem is still unresolved, but the point is that several people wanted
to help.

I haven't seen you post in any appropriate groups. OT posts are a
slippery slope.

Post in an appropriate group and I'll help. Of course, if on principle
you won't, because of my aiitude, well, tough.

Are you saying that you are able to help, but wont because the OP has
posted here? BTW I have seen his posts in other "appropriate" groups.
And he did put OT: in the subject line.
You need to get real.

That is correct. My prerogative.

> And he did put OT: in the subject line.

That is not an excuse, is it? Too much of that and the group would
degenerate as have so many others.

Your opinion (faulty, but still...)

Information:
I have raised this at the "HP Forum Black & White Printers" which I use
fairly frequently, indeed I have current item open over other matter
(networking). The HP item where I did raise this is:
http://forums.itrc.hp.com/cm/Questio...7a778c,00.html.
It will be seen that the response was poor, but was nevertheless pursued. I
have trawled HP and Google without success: and for many weeks now I have
looked at EVERYTHING in "COMPUTERS/PRINTERS" on ebay. Indeed through ebay I
was able to get the SERVICE Manual for my Epson Stylus color 3000. I have
even used alt.binaries.e-book.technical which was recommended and can be a
good source. I don't know where else to look. What I am confident about is
that somepne somewhere will have these manuals on PDF.
If Bob can help but won't, then that is his prerogative. However I would
have to say it is particularly mean spirited.
Thanks,
TK
