Default VPN Help

I am new to setting up a VPN. I have a server and three
workstations at work and want to be able to vpn from
home. I have run the setups, but i cant get the
connections from the house. I cant even ping the server
from the house. When I try to connect I get error 800.
I dont know what is wrong at work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

John

If you are getting error 800 you must be reaching the server. If not you
would get a different error message.
Error 800 just means that the VPN connection failed, and is not much
help. If you are attempting a PPTP connection, set the client to PPTP
rather than automatic. This should give you a different error message which
might mean something.

678 just means you didn't even get to square one! Can you ping the
target machine?
