Hi when I login to my Windows 2003 Domain Controller locally I try to
acccess any local share with a unc path \\servername\c$ and I get prompted for a password. When I try to access the same server from a remote location I do not have any problems. I have verfied that administrator has full control on all the drives and shares. I have also verfied by creating and deleting files, folders and writing to exisiting documents. Not sure what the problem might be. Thank you. Juan Juan |

Hi Juan,
I would double check to make sure the administrator account is not listed in any other groups. Also, if the administrator account has been moved to a different OU than Users, check to make sure there have not been any group policies applied to that OU (or the Users OU as well). Are there any other errors associated with this? Thank you, Matthew Fresoli Microsoft Network Support -- This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. HI Matthew and thank you for answering
The administrator is not part of any groups that he might get denied access to, the Administrator is in the default OU. Any other admin account with full rights on the domain gets this problem. When I log onto other domain controllers or file server I don't have this problem. Only in 2 domain controllers in the domain. |
