I am trying to install a Belkin Wireless PCI adapter in
my Windows 98 system. It correctly assigns an IP address from my LinkSys router, and gets a very strong signal according to the utility. However, I cannot ping the router or any of the other computers. I cannot access the internet and I cannot access the router or the other computers on the network. I don't have any problems with any of the other wired or wireless computers (all WinXP systems). Also, the computer can access everything using a wired connection (and a different IP address). Any suggestions? Greg |

Make sure the encryption settings are the same for the router and the
NIC. If WEP is turned on for the router and off for the NIC, or vice-versa...you won't get very far. Good Luck...
