Default Wireless Problem

I am trying to install a Belkin Wireless PCI adapter in
my Windows 98 system. It correctly assigns an IP address
from my LinkSys router, and gets a very strong signal
according to the utility. However, I cannot ping the
router or any of the other computers. I cannot access
the internet and I cannot access the router or the other
computers on the network. I don't have any problems with
any of the other wired or wireless computers (all WinXP
systems). Also, the computer can access everything using
a wired connection (and a different IP address). Any
suggestions?

Default Re: Wireless Problem

Make sure the encryption settings are the same for the router and the
NIC. If WEP is turned on for the router and off for the NIC, or
vice-versa...you won't get very far.

Good Luck...
