win98 file 'rpcss'

My firewall is filtering the Distributed COM startup.
Properties lists the file'rpcss'. When I examine the file
it has a Creation date of 2001, and a modify date of
1999. Is this normal for this file or has a worm placed a
hacked file on my system?
