Linksys Wireless Network card and Windows 98

Yes I skrewed up when I tried to record from my Dell
Inspinon 3500 laptop direct to a reel to reel tape...I got
no sound on the tape because it was twisted...
I blamed the Laptop because there was no Volume control in
the accessories...I tried to reinstall Windows to get a
volume control...and found my reel to reel problem
The linksys WPD 11 Vol 4.. no longer worked... The utility
stayed in the task bar and I am unable to uninstall it
from both the Uninstall program or the Control panel

Do I enter the register and delete all Linksys product ?or
must I reinstall Windows again.../ And if I do will I
lose 11 GiGs of Music
