Default Drive mappings are dropped

Network consists of WinNT and Win2K servers. Workstations
are Win98 having a mapped drive to the Win2K server.
During normal operation, the drive map is lost. Easily
reconnected by reestablishing the map, or rebooting.
Systems have been patched, so why is the mapping
disappearing? Thanks for any suggestions.
