Hi there,

I need broadband when out and about that is not overly limited in terms
of port blockage. I need access to email, web, ftp and ports
11000,11001,11010,11020 on my laptop.

I will be using the laptop mainly on train travel between bedford and
london and considered buying this:
http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/shop/mobil...ternet/laptop/ (USB version).

Are these things any good? Has anyone tried using it on a train, does it
work OK?

Thanks,
Mark.

If it's a Virgin pendolino train then forget it. They have a thermo-
reflective coating on the windows which blocks mobile phone signals.

No, it's a First Capital Connect cattle-class train.
