I installed Network Monitor Tools in 2k3 Enterprise Server. When I launch
network monitor I get an error message ¨The system reports no protocol
parsers found, please reinstall. I uninstalled Network Monitor Tools and
reinstalled them twice, but get the same error message each time. I cannot
find anything on this on support.microsoft.com. Please help!

Hi Brian.

Gosh I hate when that happens. I don't know the answer for sure but try to
run System File Checker to see if it finds any missing system files. I
usually run sfc /scannow. I did a search of Google and found nothing on that
error??!! I like Ethereal a lot better than netmon but you also need to
install Wincap and that may not be a good idea on a production server
unless it is tested out first on a like configured test server. Look in
Event Viewer application and system log to see if any helpful messages are
found there and run the support tool netdiag on that server to see if it
reports good health for networking or a problem that may be related. ---
