Hi, Just after posting the question I found the answer - yet another registry
change required on the desktop (XP pro)...
To run the registry editor: Start->Run type in regedit.exe and click OK.
Next open the paths for:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control/lsa
In the right hand window you'll see restrictanonymous if this isn't 0 then
double click it and change the 1 to a 0. Close regedit and reboot.
I found this elsewhere in these posts but I'm afraid I can't find the
original again - it was posted about june 2005. So Thanks to that person and
I hope someone else will find this useful.
