I have a combo of windows XP and 2000 pro machines. My servers are 2003
except for 2 servers which are 2000 servers. It seems that ever since I
established my DC's in 2003 my workstations when they shut down are try to
sync to the servers most notibly my 2000 database server. This is a problem
because the database doesn't function correctly when off line files is
selected and the machines try to sync. when users log off.

I've had to go around at least twice and turn it off on the workstations
manually. I do have 3 laptop users who do use off-line files and sync
because they are travelling. There are no bat files written to have anything
sync on this network and there is no policy regarding any sync either.

Is there anything that I need to turn off on the servers? Is there something
I can do to prevent this from happening again?
