Switching from Domain back to Workgroup

I am using Windows XP pro as my client and Windows 2000 server for my
server.

My computer was set up on a workgroup and everything was working great. I
switched over to a domain to test a new environment and then switched back
to the workgroup. Now when I browse windows explorer it takes forever once
I click on a folder in the folder window for the files to come up in the
right hand window. I am not sure what is going on, but i would like to know
if someone could point me in the right direction.
