Whenever you change network settings in Windows 98 you should reboot to make
the new settings stick. This is not necessary with Windows NT, 2000 or XP
but it is with Windows 98, SE and ME because they cannot dynamically change
network settings.
You could try using WINIPCFG and clicking the Renew button after changing
from one router to the other but that may or may not help.
