Don't you just love Bill's acronyms at times, SUS is the best one so far.
So far, sus is about right. Have implemented SUS but looking through the
drivel of the help file, how in hell does the client software figure out to
get the updates from the local server, rather than the net? Apart from
going to the Server http://servername/???? This is too much for folks to
do.
Looked in the autoupdates on the client sw (got all win2k SP4) and there's
no way to alter the servername....

Our Server is Win2k SP4.

Cheers,

Gary

You need to download the ADM file for SUS and import it into your group
policy. Configure the clients from group policy.

If you want to modify the address where the clients connect to, you must go
to IIS and change the properties of the site.

????
You don't have to do anything with IIS other than make sure its installed.
You configure you clients with either group policy or registry changes.
