SUCCESS!!!

I am finally able to access the internet through my wireless laptop. This is
what I did.

My desktop is connected to my router then to my cable modem.

I disconnected the modem from the router and plugged it into my laptop.
When I couldn't get connected, I called my cable company and they talked me
through setting up my laptop for the modem.

Once I was on the internet, I reconnected my modem and router.

Then, I set up my wireless network with the IP addressed on my desktop.

VOILA!!! I was surfing the net. Finally!!! I've been fighting with this
for almost a month.
