Can anyone tell me if Windows workgroups are limited to seeing only computers on the same subnet as part of the workgroup? If I setup a domain would this allow 2 computers on differnt subnets to think they are local to each other?

I have a windows 2000 Server on one subnet, I have a windows 2000 Pro workstation on another. If I go into Network neighborhood these computers do not see each other as local "computers near me". I can search by IP and find the computers but I need them to think they are local to each other within windows networking. Thanks!

Broadcasts are not forwarded over routers. To populate Network Places with
PCs in another domain or workgroup, you need to be running WINS
