Hi, I have an account with an ISP and I have a Ensim control panel
installed. I believe the OS is Linux. I want to make about 30 separate
logins with separate passwords. It was suggested that I make 30
separate users each with a separate subdomain. Then, as I understand
it the url will be http://subdomainName.domainName.com
but I do not want to give out the domainName and so I was hoping to
use the IP address in the url. Is this possible? Any clues greatly
appreciated.
THANK YOU!

Sure, if you have the permissions, but what exactly would stop
people from simply resolving the IP?

Unsure about your post, perhaps you are looking to setup users
"~/public_html"? Which would require far less afford then
virtual hosts.

Of course you can make a virtual host for any user, if you
control the DNS server authoritative for your domain, a CNAME for
each should be enough. But you can't use the IP anymore, or you
would need one IP for each virtual host.

I don't think it would be possible. Probably using only one IP address with
name-based virtual domains.

Why don't you want to give the domain name out? It would be easy enough to
find anyway.

Regards
